It barely felt like I had an adjustment at the time, but I can definitely feel the positive effects days later.

WHAT TO EXPECT

There are 4 steps in the NUCCA spinal treatment process of correcting your misalignment (spinal subluxation):
1. First Visit: Are you a Candidate for NUCCA Care?
2. Second Visit: A Report of Findings and Preparation For Your First Adjustment
3. A NUCCA Chiropractic Spinal Care Treatment
4. Follow Up Visits

1. First Visit: Are you a Candidate for NUCCA Care?

Your first visit takes approximately 1½ hours to complete

Entrance Paperwork: Our Doctors use this information to start your assessment. You can download it, have it emailed or faxed to you, or even start it on the phone with one of our Patient Care Specialists.

Consultation: Our Doctors will sit down and talk with you to see if you have a condition that qualifies you for NUCCA care.

Exam: A thorough orthopedic, neurologic examination will be done. Our Doctors will look at your posture, nerve function, muscle tension, reflexes and leg length deficiency.

X-rays: If your Doctor thinks they are necessary, spinal X-rays will be performed. They help our Doctors determine the precise misalignment of your spine, skull and pelvis. After your first visit, our Doctors will send you home so that they can develop, study and analyze your information.

2. Second Visit: A Report of Findings and Preparation For Your First Adjustment

Report: Our Doctors will have analyzed the X-rays and the information exchanged during your first visit. They will go over their findings with you.

X-rays: If a subluxation in your spine is found, NUCCA pre X-rays are taken to determine the precise degree of your spinal subluxation. This information is vital to correcting your subluxation.

3. A NUCCA Chiropractic Spinal Care Treatment

First Adjustment: During the adjustment, you will lie on your side on the table. We do NOT twist, crack or pop your spine. We make all corrections by hand from the top bone of your spine, your first vertebrae (the atlas or C1). This corrects your entire spine (neck, mid-back, lower back and hips).
During the spinal treatment, you feel a very light pressure on the side of your neck, near the level of your earlobe. This is done in a very specific direction, determined from your X-rays, and is done to move your spinal structures back into their proper position.

Post X-ray: If necessary, we take post X-rays immediately following your first spinal treatment to ensure your first vertebrae is exactly where it needs to be. . post-treatment pic

Take A Break: A ten to fifteen minute rest in our quiet room after your adjustment encourages your spine to stabilize in its new balanced (corrected) position. Taking time to heal and recover is an important part of the process.

4. Follow Up Visits

If necessary, you will be scheduled for follow up visits. On your scheduled follow up visits, our Doctors will evaluate and check your correction to verify you are progressing.
